NEW YORK (AP) In the 1960s, when the United Methodist Church was just emerging from the Civil War and the world was still reeling from the end of the Great Depression, Rev. William Wilson and a few other young clergymen were living out of their car in suburban Pennsylvania.
Their mission was to give the local congregations a new way to express their faith through their local churches.
Now, that mission has grown into a global movement.
It has helped make the U.S. the leader in evangelism.
Wilson’s group, which includes more than 1,400 pastors and priests, is the largest Christian denomination in the United States, and it has been growing since the 1960-70s, with about 300,000 members.
As its popularity grows, Wilson is looking for ways to keep it going in a way that will make it more powerful.
“The church has become very, very important to people in a number of ways,” he said.
“It has become a way to get people to connect.
It’s become a community.
The church has made that possible.” “
That’s really a big part of the appeal of the church, which is it has this kind of community that you don’t have in any other place.
The church has made that possible.”
Wilson, a former chairman of the UMC’s national executive committee and the church’s most senior leader, said he is not worried about the church losing its appeal to young people.
“I think we’ve got enough people, and we’re just not going to have to change anything about it,” he told The Associated Press.
“Our core mission remains the same.
I think that will continue to be our foundation.” “
We have a lot of faith in our people.
I think that will continue to be our foundation.”
Wilson is referring to the UCC, which has the largest membership of any major Protestant denomination, with more than 6 million people worldwide.
But he also said he doesn’t think the UCP could lose its appeal if it tries to change the way it does business.
U.C.P. spokeswoman Sarah Lacy said Wilson and other UCC pastors are not planning to give up their Sunday sermons or the way they interact with members.
Lacy added that the UUCC has no plans to change its approach to preaching or how its members worship.
She said the UCAU, the UHC and the UUA are all focused on building churches in the next five to 10 years.
“There is a lot to be learned from the UMP and the leadership of our pastors, but our goal is to have a new generation of pastors,” Lacy told The AP.
Wilson, who lives in a suburb of New York City, is one of the country’s most influential pastors, having helped build the U-M in New York and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
He said he has been a member of the Episcopal Church for about 30 years and was appointed to the post in the 1980s.
He served as president of the Anglican Church in America and is a former pastor at the UMB in Annapolis, Maryland.
The UMP was created in 1864 to serve the U., M and U churches, which were in the midst of massive upheaval after the Civil Wars, and in the aftermath of the end in 1917.
The denomination grew from 2,000 to about 30,000, and today has about 3 million members.
U.M. President Thomas Curry said Wilson is an “important part of our campus,” adding that he has “been a long-time supporter of our efforts to build a better future for our country.”
“It is my sincere hope that the continued growth of the United Church will continue the positive effects of the leadership we have assembled, and help to shape a future for U.M.”
The U-Camps, which Wilson leads, is in charge of about a third of the denomination’s roughly 10,000 students.
About 3,000 of the members are women, and they are predominantly white, with Hispanics, blacks and Asians making up a majority of the membership.
The church also has a strong relationship with universities.
Its student body includes some of the top graduate students in the country, and its president is an alumna of Harvard University.
