The red card handed out to Roma defender Romain Grosjean was read at the start of the 3-0 win over Torino.
The incident took place in the second half and Grosjunas head was seen being thrown to the ground by Italian referee Mario Allegri.
Grosjunis was sent off for a late challenge on the Torino striker and after the match Allegri tweeted: “I saw a red card.
I will not tolerate this type of violence.”
Allegri later tweeted: I saw a player throw a head to the floor.
I cannot tolerate this kind of violence.
It will be reviewed.

Roma have already been fined €12,000 and are yet to be sanctioned.
